Connecting with Grief:  Creating an Archive of Love and Loss. In September 2021, my partner Billy died after complications from transplant surgery. I want to create an archive of his life, and our lives together, curating the objects he left behind and using this process as a way to find a new narrative – to imagine being with grief as a space of opening, possibility and celebration rather than closure. I envisage an exhibition where visitors will experience the process of grieving through selected, curated objects and sound recordings. A catalogue of the exhibition, containing poems, photos, text fragments and short lyric essays, will be produced as a permanent interpretive artefact.
