Lucy Christopher

I am an Edinburgh born, Glasgow based writer. My interviews and articles on arts and culture have appeared in The Skinny, The Wee Review and The Leither. In addition to this project, I am working on a collection of short stories.

My father was also a complex figure in my life – sensitive and generous, but with physical and mental challenges that made him stubborn and paranoid. Hard to help and hard to be around. My title – Love and Schizophrenia – is the same as a memoir my Dad once wrote, detailing many painful details of his life - the false starts and new beginnings, the bands, the poverty, the breakdowns and break-ups. I will utilise his writing in my writing, to look at mental health, memory, music, creativity, disability and agency, isolation, death during Covid, and of course - love and schizophrenia.
