Carrie Foulkes


Carrie Foulkes is an artist, writer, researcher and complementary therapist. Her studies in philosophy, bodywork and multidisciplinary arts inform her thinking and writing on the body. She is particularly interested in the relationships between environmental and human health, culture and politics.

Carrie is a doctoral candidate in the DFA Creative Writing programme at the University of Glasgow. She is a 2024-2025 Harry Ransom Centre Fellow at the University of Texas, Austin. She was previously a guest researcher at the Centre for Medical Humanities and Bioethics at Linköping University, Sweden, funded by the Turing Scheme.
